Transformers for concrete heating The ТМТО-80/0.38-У1 transformer is designed for the thermal treatment of concrete and soil and for supplying hand-held power tools and temporary lighting. Technical specifications Three-phase ТМТО-80/0.38-У1 transformers are manufactured with a rated voltage of the primary (high-voltage) winding of up to and including 380 V and of the secondary (low-voltage) winding of 36 V, with step voltage regulation on the high-voltage winding or on the medium-voltage winding. For this purpose the transformers are fitted with a voltage tap switch connected to the medium-voltage winding. The voltage is regulated off-circuit, with the transformer disconnected from the supply on the HV side. The regulation ranges are given in the table. Connection diagram and vector group: У/Д-11. Operating conditions Altitude above sea level: up to 1000 m. Ambient air temperature: for temperate climate; from –45°C to +40°C. The transformers are not designed to operate: in explosive or aggressive environments (containing gases, vapours, high concentrations of dust, etc.); under vibration and shaking. Transformer design The tanks are oval in shape. To increase the cooling surface, the transformer has a radiator. Hooks located under the upper frame of the tank are used to lift the tank and the assembled transformer. The tank cover has a drain valve; at the bottom of the tank there are an oil drain plug, a sampling valve (plug) and an earthing bolt. The active part consists of a magnetic core made of cold-rolled electrical steel, the windings and the tap switch. The transformer windings are aluminium. The HV, MV and LV bushings are of the outdoor type, removable, with porcelain bushing insulators, and are located on the cover. An oil level indicator for monitoring the oil level is fixed to the tank wall.
