Transformer substations Packaged transformer substations of the КТП 25-250 series rated from 25 to 250 kVA are single-transformer, dead-end, outdoor substations designed to receive three-phase alternating-current electrical energy at a frequency of 50 Hz and a voltage of 6 and 10 kV, convert it to electrical energy at 0,4 kV and supply it to consumers. The pole-mounted КТП rated from 25 to 250 kVA is built as a structure comprising a high-voltage incoming cabinet, a low-voltage cabinet and a platform for mounting the transformer. The ТМ (or ТМГ) type transformer is installed in the open and is protected from precipitation by a canopy. The КТП is connected to the network through a disconnector, which is included in the scope of supply. Fixed-mounted circuit breakers are installed on the outgoing feeders. The КТП has a street-lighting feeder that is switched on and off automatically by a signal from the built-in photoelectric relay. The number of outgoing lines and their currents can be changed at the Customer's request. The substation provides active energy metering by means of a meter and the corresponding current transformers and has electrical and mechanical interlocks that ensure the safe work of operating personnel; heating is provided in the КТП to create normal operating conditions for the electrical apparatus. In accordance with electrical safety rules, the КТП is mounted on a pedestal with the high-voltage entry point at a height of 4,5 m above ground level.
