Ammeter Analogue ammeters are intended for measuring direct or alternating current and voltage in electrical networks. The ammeters are analogue pointer instruments for direct or transformer connection. The ammeters have insulated plastic housings. The instruments are mounted on the front panel of electrical switchboards for visual monitoring of the measured current and voltage values. AC ammeters are intended for measuring voltage and current in AC circuits with a frequency of 50 Hz. DC ammeters are intended for measuring voltage and current in DC circuits. These instruments are mainly used as part of instrument panels for distribution substations, power networks and other electrical systems, and for various distribution cabinets, power supply cabinets, control cabinets, compensating devices and other electrical installations.
